Title: KLRU - Las Cruces, NM
Post by: fugalh on January 20, 2007, 09:30:05 PM
I am about 10 miles from KLRU (in Las Cruces). I have the bandwidth and the know-how, but no scanner. If someone is interested in throwing $50-$80 bucks (or a used scanner) at it let me know.

Unfortunately I think I'm probably too far from KELP  which is the commercial airport in the area. (about 40 miles from El Paso, and the tip of a mountain between us)

You'd be able to pick up ZAB sectors 89 and 19 really well.  I cover those in my ZAB feed based in Alamogordo though.

Small edit...you'd PROBABLY be able to pick up sectors 90/80(? I think 80) which do the ultra high and high sequencing for the SUNSS5 into PHX.  I'm sure you'd have to get a nice outdoor antenna high off the ground, but it would be awesome to get some of that high level sequencing on the SUNSS off of SSO.

ELP would be a nice feed, but you'd have to get an antenna up high enough, and with the Franklins in the way of the transmittors and all but the highest aircraft it is pretty much not going to happen :/
