KLM691 unscheduled stop at Kaflavik

Hi all  just wondered if anyone has any idea why klm691 appears to have made an unscheduled stop at Keflavik today ?
just curious but any info would be appreciated . thanks

Kaflavik also has an airport...
but yeah, i checked flightaware and flightexplorer but nahda. beats me.

Keflavik is Iceland's international airport... 3000m runway etc. Logical place to divert a wide body.

A quick check on the KLM website gives "en route" for the 691 that departed Sep 23rd; it's somewhat late now.

I can only guess what caused the diversion: (sick/unruly) passengers or technical problems are the most likely culprits.

Must be something with that flight number, KLM691 diverted from Toronto (CYYZ) to Niagara Falls (KIAG) on September 7th. Stayed there for an hour and continued on to Pearson in Toronto.

Perhaps if you telephoned to KLM they would tell you the why's and wherefor's !

Hi guys thanks for the info. I did notice about the stop at Niagara Falls on the 7th.
Never had the scenic tour anytime i have been across on this one lol.
