ILS 13 APPROACH LGA
« on: September 08, 2008, 10:51:12 AM »
Anybody check out the ILS 13 approach at LGA on saturday during the tropical storm.

When was the last time somebody saw aircraft intercept the final approach course on a straight in, intercepting Paymi 9.1 DME from the field?

It was interesting.

Any thoughts?

Flew in Saturday afternoon (unfortunately was forced to hold right in the middle of one of the rain bands....took quite a bit of paint off the plane).  We ended up flying the ILS22 in fairly good weather.  I think it was just hit or miss with the rain bands and timing of your arrival.  I've personally never landed on 13 (or taken off on 22) at LGA.
