Did anybody else hear about the collision on the ground that happened today at about 2345Z and 0010Z?
It sounded like two regional jets hit one-another.
I may have the Zulu times wrong. It was between 745pm EST and 810pm EST

I'm looking for info myself right now. There's a lot of talk about fire trucks blocking a couple of ramps and news helicopters flying around the airport but I haven't been able to find out exactly what's going on yet.

Reports are an Air France A380 clipped a Delta jet while taxiing for takeoff. Minor damage to both aircraft.

I think that once inspections have been carried out this will be seen as MUCH more than "minor damage".

Yeah, without a doubt.

I hope this makes people realize how important it is to keep their seat belts on all the way to the gate. Or simply, at all times (except when you really *have* to get up).

Yeah, without a doubt.
The CRJ could have heavy internal structural damage. It dosn't look too bad on the surface, but she took one hell of a jolt. I'm sure there is some internal structure damage...

For sure the CRJ will need the entire vertical and horizontal stabilizers and possibly some work in where they are mounted in the fuselage, but if you look down the side of the aircraft at the reflection, there is no sign of ripples indicating the fuselage was twisted by the impact.

Is it just me or is the A380 going as fast as a freight train?
