KFXE Feed .... do you want KFLL frequencies too ?
« on: September 08, 2005, 06:27:06 PM »
I can now receive FLL tower, if you want I can unlock these frequencies for good. I unlocked them for the evening, if you want to listen to them, and let me know what you think

Here are the frequencies unlocked for tonight, if you do nto like having the FLL freqs, I will go back to the FXE freqs only :

* KFXE Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport:

- FXE ATIS : 119.850 (locked out, on air sometimes)
- FXE Clearance Delivery : 127.950
- FXE Ground : 121.750
- FXE Tower : 120.900
- FXE/Unicom : 122.950
- Miami Approach / Miami Departure : 119.700

* KFLL Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International
Airport:

- FLL Clearance Delivery : 128.400
- FLL Tower 1 : 119.300
- FLL Tower 2 : 120.200
- Miami Approach (271-090 Below 4000) : 118.100
- Miami Approach / Miami Departure (091-270) : 128.600
- Miami Approach (271-090 4000 & Above) : 133.775
- Miami Departure (271-090 Below 4000) : 119.700
- Miami Departure (271-090 4000 & Above) : 126.050

ps :
* I can add some ops frequencies for airlines that get into FLL, but I think it's already confusing enough as it is  :P
* ground freqs for FLL are unlocked but I receive only tower side

I could almost do FLL only   if people find both of them too confusing we could do just one, a vote to see which one you'd want.
I have several scanners but just one sound card :( ....

I have the same dilemma with IND/ZID...I know what you're goin through.

I personally prefer FLL, but you're the feeder, and as always it's up to you.

Well since I used to live in FLL, ive gotten to know the controllers and their voices, so distinguishing between the two is quite easy for me. If anything, i'd prefer FLL.

I'll leave both for tonight, we'll see what people think.
My sound card has 2 "in" plugs ... so maybe I can run a second feed ? in the software, where I choose the source, I can select between the two !
I just need to get another audio cable to test it !

Two feeds would be probably best because FXE sounds awesome and the FLL freqencies just disrupt the continuity.  I'm all for listening to FLL but personally when I listen to a VFR tower like FXE, I find all the other stuff just confusing.

Plus your FXE frequencies are much louder and clearer.

A single sound card only allows one recording device to be selected.  In other words, you can't feed from Line In and Mic at the same time - you must choose one.

also, I called a friend, he receives both feeds, and also he can receive FLL while I receive FXE or vice versa. I can also receive both feeds from here.
Do you think it will work ?

FLL is still pretty busy, and I had the ATIS at KFXE, I had FLL on the laptop and FXE on the desktop and could hear each one on their own channel just fine, seems like it will work .... I hope ! scanners arent cheap  :?

Is FLL still on this feed, it doesn't say in the description of the FXE feed?

I'd take FLL good to know they are both available at my Hometown area of Pompano Beach in a year.
