I was shocked last week to see MIA #1 up- I tuned in and it was MIA CD (Clearence Del) for a little while (testing?) and then went off a short time later. First time I've seen it up in ages...

There so much traffic to listen too. traffic from every where in the world.

but in around the Miami area. It's a great plane spotting airport but unfortunately I don't live there any more so I'd at least like to listen.

I'll just pinch in with a pointer to the FAQ: http://www.liveatc.net/forums/index.php/topic,1004.0.html (http://www.liveatc.net/forums/index.php/topic,1004.0.html)
Summary: the feeders are volunteers and have no obligation to be up 24/7.
Dave, I think it would be good to remove feeds that have been inactive for a month from the webpages.

This, plus many other features are currently in the works.

It would be nice to hear the MIA/FLL feed up again. It would compliment me losing reception from the TPA area to the SE from MIA ARTCC. By the way its great WX here in FL.
