Title: KCMH feed down? Going to miss Air Force One!
Post by: Still holding at Weldo on March 06, 2009, 08:10:05 AM
Hi!  I have tuned in to KCMH to hear Air Force One come in (approx. 1455a GMT) but the feed has only dead air.  I just checked an archive taken 2 hours ago and it's blank, too.   There's no notice on the Feed Status forum.    Help Help!
thanks,
 -  Weldo

Yeah, I was kinda bummed that it was dead air.  I pulled out my handheld comm radio before I headed over to CMH and of course the battery in it was dead too!  Unfortunately I ended up missing AF1, but the C-17 full of his support vehicles took off right over my head while I was sitting on Stelzer Rd. across from the airport, so all was not lost!

KCMH is still down today and has been dead air for at least three days now.  Status still says UP  :?  I was able to see AF1 on final approach from my office on East Broad St.  Beautiful ...

Now that I think about it, the last time time I tried to listen to this feed (prior to Friday 3/6) was on Feb ... 24th or 25th.  A friend was coming back in to town.   The feed was dead then, too.  But it showed as UP.

Dead air again today still shows as UP.  Is this the correct place to post about this or should listeners notify someone on this forum in the outage/status section ?  Based on the other posts there I am assuming that only those who actually provide the feeds make those notifications there.
