Hello!
Have any of the regular listeners noticed that the volume on Clearance/Ground has been boosted a notch or two?
It's making the feed sound distorted as the levels are peaking, most predominantly affecting the transmittions from the controllers. Before it was perfect and crystal clear, but now i'm having trouble understanding what the some of the controllers are saying and the rattle from the sound level peaking is not fun and annoying, especially when listening on headphones like I do.
Don't get me wrong, i don't really want to complain and feel kinda silly for posting this. I love this feed so much. I'm just wondering if there was any chance of dropping the level to how it was before?

Yeah, I'm listening right now and it's hard to hear. But I must be spoiled since we are fortunate to even have this feed. I'll live with it and try to pick up as much as I can.

I agree, but don't want to complain as well, we are very lucky. If it is possible to turn it down that would be great.

We'll get it turned down over the weekend. It's perfectly audible and understandable here, though there is a little bit of clipping. It used to be easy to fix remotely, but I haven't had direct access to the machine in a while. Next time I'm in New York I hope to get time to stop by and rectify that.

I am listening right now to JFK tower. Another one to keep in mind when you go to New York again. Maybe the volume is being turned up on the mic from the hum of the aircraft engines. There are lots at JFK. :lol:
