JFK Audio/CAMRN
« on: March 28, 2013, 02:11:33 PM »
Not picking up any traffic on CAMRN today, and lately i've heard controllers assigning a different approach freq - 123.7 (if memory serves me correctly)

any thoughts

This would be a recent change, and possibly only temporary.  123.7 is a valid frequency for that area of N90.  If this is permanent we will have to verify that and reprogram the CAMRN radio.

N90 has been having a lot of trouble with 127.4.  While that is under investigation 123.7 is in use.  They expect to return to 127.4 but no idea when.

In the interim we are scanning both frequencies.

Sounds like they've moved camrn now to 134.35 now. Are we able to add that freq as well.

134.35 has been added. Note that at this moment ROBER is active (you can hear the planes) but the controller is simulcasting on CAMRN (no planes) as well... probably working both due to sequester furloughs.
