Hello Dave,, I was just wondering why there are no feeds for Hethrow. I think it would be a great  experience for all of us to have it, and I think it is going to be a big fight between JFK and Hethrow at the 1st 2o feeds page.

Its illegal to transmit ATC comms in england. If your descret and dont pass on info or set up a feed then you can listen in, and they wont be to botherd but your not allowed to set it up so others can listen aswell (set up a feed).

I recommend the EHAM feeds to the people that like to listen to ATC at a European hub.
It's unlikely that we'll see LHR or FRA feeds before some legal changes in either the UK or Germany.

It doesn't.  Perhaps one day the authorities will relax the rule; until then, we'll cooperate with them.  If someone ever finds a loophole in the silly, antiquated law, then please let me know.

Unfortunately the law was passed during world war 2 to try and prevent the whole spying thing and its never been updated since.

Until Ofcom(communications regulator) decides to do something we are stuck with it.

Recently(in the last 2 months) though (due to pressure) they have put a let in clause to this law to allow the ipod  transmitter (i forget the name) to be used on UK soi even  previously prohibited by this law.

Those in the UK, let us continue to write to our MP's and to allow a change in this law.

And little do they realize that they are breaking the law, and that OFCOM could essentially shut the entire site down for violating the law. With as worldwide as LiveATC is, I'm sure Dave does not want to take that chance.

Remote Hams has a few UK feeds that are tunable if you get permission to do so from their respective owners. Also try Receiverbook (many tunable SDR radios there as well ) This is the one I use
