Is it legal?

Is it legal to feed ATC comm in Brunei? WBSB/BWN. I live around 5km from the control tower. Won't it interrupt or interfere their comm?

It will not interfere with them at all.

Whether it is legal or not there is another question.  I can't find a law explicitly forbidding it, but I am not sure the entire law is accessible over the internet.

Hello Dave and Richu,

May I expand your reception explanation a bit, Dave?

The original question seems to indicate the poster does not understand that a receiver cannot interfere with a transmitter, particularly if it is located at some distance from the transmitter.  Yes, the LO (local oscillator within a hetrodyne receiver) might radiate a bit in the case of a poorly designed receiver, but that would be a very unusual case, and would not apply if the receiver is remote from the transmitter.

Not trying to be pedantic.  Just trying to add to the sum of the knowledge base.  I have learned a good deal myself by lurking here, and hope this is taken as a positive contribution.
