IOS app is lagging after some time?
« on: August 20, 2016, 02:07:24 AM »
Hi

I always experience lagging after 1-2 hours listening on the IOS app. I then kill the app and start it again, and it now works for 1-2 hours before the lagging starts.
Anyone with the same problem?

br Lars

Sounds like a unique device or network issue on your device. We have never seen lag more than that measured in seconds.

Is this on all feeds or only a certain feed?

Actually i mostly listen to a specific feed, and mostly on PC's in the browser. Here i have never observed a problem with lagging/dropping audio.

I normally use a iPhone 5S when i see the problem, but now i have also tried on my ipad3 and i see the same here. The iOS app starts switching the play button between green and read, with the loss of audio also of course, and this continues until i kill the app and start it again.

I have however improved somewhat on the situation by moving my wifi access point to my second switch (not physical location, just the cable is moved).
The switch where it was located before has some IPcam traffic and the flow is about 10Mbit upload to a NAS constantly. My network is Gigabit, and with a cable supplier at 300/40Mbit. So i believe that i'm not going down on network resources, but it seems that this IPcam traffic was too much for the iOS app/connection to the server for survival.

Edit: Actually i have 3 cameras, so it is 30Mbit traffic to the NAS.
