Sacramento CA, Three bird strikes in one day:
« on: January 06, 2010, 11:13:53 AM »
Three aircraft encounter birds at KSAC yesterday.  :-o

A SWA B737-300 and a Hawaiian B767-300 impacted birds while on final approach.

An additional SWA B737-700 impacted a bird on climb-out, prompting a return to KSAC. After a windscreen and wiper replacement, the aircraft continued on to KLAS.

Just for the record, a B737 could barely make the landing at KSAC, but services there would be limited.

KSMF on the other hand... ;)

KSAC = Sacramento Executive Airport.

KSMF = Sacramento Int'l Airport.

BL.

Heard about this as well. I wish we could have a feed up for SMF. Hopefully when I move I'll be a little closer to set up a feed.
