Title: Inaugural AC YYC - JFK Went Today
Post by: Acey on March 01, 2006, 08:48:46 PM
The first Air Canada flight between Calgary and New York - JFK went today, operated by new Embraer 190 equipment.  AC has a block time of 4:20 for the route, but flightaware (http://flightaware.com/live/flight/ACA584) is showing today's run lasted 3:38, with the jetstream cutting through the midwest.  There were questions raised about the range of the E90, particularly on the westbound run.  The flight was originally supposed to start December 17 of last year, but delays with the delivery of the E90's pushed back the date.  Still glad to see Air Canada on the route.  The inaugural westbound flight is scheduled to go at 8:15 tomorrow morning, getting in at YYC for a 45 minute turn.
