I've had this site bookmarked for a long time. It's a great site. Makes you realize what airports used to be near you (I actually work a block way from the old Fair Oaks airport in Sacramento; it's now an Office Depot.).

As they give LAT/LON as well as street intersections for the field, if you combine this with http://www.liveatc.net/feedmap/feedmap.html, you should be able to find the field without heading out anywhere. Google Earth should work as well.

Good stuff.

That's a great site... I checked a few and it's surprising how well green stuff grows over and how it gets developed.  Too bad airports don't fit in museums.  :)

I'm guessing there's nothing like this for Canada?

There was a Nike missile base about five miles away from my house, probilby some old U.S.S.R. missile pointed at my house.
P.S. 20 miles from the worlds biggest natral gas refinery, the missile is probibly still pointed at us. Hear on my feed the planes reporting fire from the refinery about 70 miles away.

I remember a couple years ago, looking at FSNavigator and FS2004, and seeing the old Vo-Tech field in Las Vegas, just under the final for the 25s at KLAS, and wondering if that really did exist, because there's nothing but a high school there. So on my way to go bowling, I stopped there, and it was actually there, X on the runway, and next to the school's parking lot! I didn't really realize what it was, especially since I passed by it at least twice a week!

I'm in the middle of emailing Paul about the original Las vegas Airport, and see if he can get it listed. Millions of people pass by it every day (I know I did) and didn't realize what it was, let alone where (It's the parking lot behind the Sahara Hotel/Casino, north of the Las Vegas Hilton).
