I've been listening to the HF Atlantic feed lately.  What are the tones they play sometimes?

Those are SELCAL tones, transmitted by the HF operators to notify pilots that the operators are trying to reach them.

Good reference here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SELCAL
