Title: How do you switch frequencies at a certain airport?
Post by: 360slam on July 11, 2009, 03:20:22 PM
I am new to this awesome site and was wondering if anyone could give me a hand. I like to listen to the airport YYC (Calgary). Whenever I click to listen, it says there are three frequencies, but I can only listen to one. Are there really three being broadcast, or is there just one? Are they all going at the same time? If not, is there a way to switch from say, the tower to departure to arrival etc.

Thanks!

Most likely the scanner is scanning those three frequencies, and when someone transmits on one of them, that's what you hear. There is no way for a listener to directly control which specific frequency they listen to unless there is a separate feed for each frequency.
