I know I have not posed to the forum for a long time, just started my pharmacy program and have been really busy. Well I just moved to Plymouth, which is about 8 miles from dtw. I can pick up both DTW tower and Planes, even some planes on ground. I need to get a new audio cable before I can start the feed, it may be a few weeks. I am looking forward to getting the feed up, I know it will be enjoyed. If you have interest, let me know. I hope I can have it up soon, I am listening to it as much as possible to really determine if it will give the best quality.

That would be really cool! What kind of antenna are you using?

Definitely interested. There used to be a Detroit feed here back in 2005 but the feeder shut it down (can't recall now why he did). One more class B here is always good to have.

I'd be extremely excited to have a DTW feed.

I really can not put up any real antenna in my apartment. I am currently using the a cheap antenna that came with the scanner, I hope to get something better when I can afford it. I was listening today, and even with the heavy snow that was falling earlier today I was able to get almost all atc tower comm, and even some ground talk (plane and controller). I will try to get the feed going as quickly as I can.

Did you get a full-size (2 feet or more) antenna or a "rubber ducky"? Indoor antennas that perform better than a minimal mobile scanner antenna can be made cheaply from a few lengths of metal wire.
