Title: Houston ATC transmitter location(s) for IAH and HOU
Post by: Tim Joseph on November 22, 2006, 11:36:24 PM
Is it safe to assume that the transmitter location for the Houston area ATC is located at Bush Intercontinental (IAH)?  Sorry for the newbie question.  I have a spare scanner but am 19 miles from both IAH and Hobby (HOU).  I know the FAA complex is at IAH on the drive in.  Thanks!

Yea for the most part the sectors designed for each airport is at that respective airport. I was looking through the Standard Operating Procedures (which most SOPs do list transmitter sites) and I cant find a list of the RCOs for satellite sectors which will be the only transmitters not based at IAH or HOU. I'll keep looking and If I find some I'll post in here. I sure would love to have a I90 Tracon feed back up as I have a real good friend at I90 that I would like to hear.
