CYOW - Ottawa Int'l Airport Feed
« on: November 21, 2006, 04:57:35 UTC »
How come it only has 1 frequency on it?  That doesn't offer up much for an interesting listen considering it's an int'l airport.

Any way that we can get a few more frequencies on this one?  I'd be more apt to listen to if there was a bit more to listen to.

How about arrivals, departures, ground, clearance and even UNICOM might even be interesting to listen to.  There is lots to listen to from the Ottawa airport http://www.canairradio.com/ont.html

Just a thought.

I heard the humm you're talking about at www.cyow.ca, but it didn't seems to be too disruptive, to me anyway.

I wonder if the squelch on the scanner is just set to a "too sensitive position"

Nice website too by the way.

Thanks for looking into this for us.

The feed sounds much more exciting now.

Hey guys,

I sent an email to the administrator to get this changed a while back but it looks like they are pretty busy.

Anyways the freqs monitored on the new setup are as follows.

Ottawa Clearance          119.4
Ottawa Ground              121.9
Ottawa Tower                118.8
Ottawa Terminal             127.7

If somebody sees this that has the power to change the info in the listing it would be much appreciated

Hi !

When I’m in Ottawa and listening to 128.175 ... I also get the weird noise. But if you listen 135.15 ... you will also have 128.175 but without the weird noise. Looks like those two frequencies are coupled on 135.15

Try adding 135.15 and you will have all the arrivals and all the departures on a same frequency.
