help with windows Media
« on: July 23, 2010, 10:37:49 UTC »
Good day

I was wondering if anyone out there could help me?
Recently while listening to LiveAtc with my Windows Media player we had a black out hit.
Everything died and when power came back in an couple of hours I went to listen to LiveAtc and I keep
getting the following message when i try and use the Windows Media Icons

a file pops up to download   "get_asx_feed_m3u"

I click ok   and it goes to my Itunes app but nothing happens

I tried to figure this out but I am having no luck

any help would be great

thanks

Ian

You will need to properly set up Windows Media Player as a helper application for audio files (specifically, MP3 files).  We use MP3 streaming, which means you want to set your browser up to send those to WMP.  Specific instructions depend on what browser you use.

Many users have had infinitely more success just installing Winamp from: http://www.winamp.com

What browser are you using?  We could help you better if know which one.

Windows XP is your operating system.  Which one of the following are you using as your web browser:

1. Firefox
2. Internet Explorer
3. Google Chrome

?
