I just logged in to listen and American 1965 declared an emergency and then aborted the landing due to a micro-burst

this happened around 10:20-10:23am Pacific time.

Now they just said AA1965 is going to San Jose to land.

EDIT: Found a story on the flight

Quote
(01-18) 14:32 PST  -- An American Airlines jet flying from Texas to San Francisco made an emergency landing in San Jose this morning after it was hit by a powerful gust of wind, a spokesman for the airline said.
More News

The plane, Flight No. 1965 from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, developed a minor problem with its throttle during the flight, American Airlines spokesman Tim Wagner said.

As it was making its approach to San Francisco International Airport, the plane encountered a short, intense gust of wind known as a microburst, Wagner said.

Thing is the plane had already declared an emergency prior to the micro burst.

I updated my earlier comment above with a link to the story about the emergency landing

http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/baycitynews/a/2010/01/18/plane18.DTL

Thing is the pilot had declared an emergency prior to landing. I don't have time for at least a few hours to piece together the archives to see why the emergency was declared. I had just happened to log in to listen to the KSFO tower and the tower was advising personal that the emergency aircraft was 2nd on approach, and then as the plane was about to land he aborted and informed the tower of a micro-burst. The article says the micro-burst was the cause of the emergency in the first place.

Does not make  sense.

I'm listening to the archive now.  Emergency was declared for stuck left throttle.  They were then immediately cleared to intercept localizer for 19L.  Pilot declared 132 souls on board with 5 crew and 2 hours of fuel at time of emergency.
