Can't listen to feed, media player problem possibly
« on: October 21, 2007, 00:39:02 UTC »
When I click on a feed, WMP pops up and starts to download it.  I get a buffering % on the bottom left part of the screen.  When it gets to 100%, it just displays the title of the feed and then starts another buffering % again.  I get no audio. I've got all my audio volumes maxed out and none of them are clicked mute. I just downloaded WMP version 11 figuring mine was maybe in need of an upgrade.  That didn't solve it either.

Is there a patch that I need to download or something?

Thanks for any help.

Try some other feeds. Make sure the feed you are listening to is not down. Also, try some other media players (winamp, iTunes, etc.), if possible, and tell us your results.

I recommend trying WinAmp, found here.   Upon installing you will be asked what media files with which to associate it.  Be sure at least the m3u extension is chosen.

Ya, I'd use either WinAmp or iTunes. I use iTunes because it's always open and whenever I sit down, I have to be listening to something- music or ATC. I did use Winamp, but it took too long to load on my computer.

installed winamp, works perfect.  Thanks guys.

Now I can listen to the feeds, I just don't understand what they are saying :-D
But that is a whole other problem

Very happy for you. Just keep listening, and you'll never want to stop.
