Thanks for that link, Ed!  It's also neat that you can get the frequency map for ZLA, or what they think the sectors/frequencies are.

This is a very cool plug-in for Google Earth!

I wouldn't mind doing a frequency map for ZNY, PHL or DTW if I knew how to.

I just noticed that ZLA freq map is a graphic that was made for vZLA

Really cool 8) Thank you!
Here's another "online spotter" help : http://flightaware.com/live

It's really cool to be able to listen and then look up flight number to see where these planes are from or where they are headed,etc..
Kindof interesting to hear some of the ground ops conversations also

HAMMER_KPDX, I don't think that the ATC and the Visual sites are co-ordinated time wise.!

I think the visual display is a 10 minute delay, whereas the ATC LIVE is only seconds delayed.

Someone, no doubt, will tell us if this is the case or not.

Well,I don't know about any delay. I didn't say they were insync with each other.
But that it's kindof cool to listen to an arrival, then look that number up and see where they came from.
On departures I wait a few minutes after "contact departure" and then I can track them outbound.

Well, if you can do that, then there probably isn't any delay. I don't know, I've never tried that. Interesting.

Cheers.

i think the fed's have put a law out that you need to have a 5 or 10 (i cant remeber what one it is) for security but live atc is live to the seconed as i beleve if there is a way to record the google earth  you could over the atc arcives to the map recording you can do that with some outer flight trackers like http://www4.passur.com/bos.html

This looks like a real dream app., but in my case not. I d/l'ed all the links, but don't find I am getting anything "live".

Pretty pictures of Chicago O'Hare and LAX, though.

Thanks. I have Airports/Transportation enabled.

I'm sort of hoping for some help.

I sent this applet to myself, and it worked at home, which raises the question whether the problem I am having @ work is: we have a company firewall that is keeping Floweb out.

Thanks.

Don.
