Title: Good place to go to listen to ATC
Post by: MIAMIATC on March 10, 2006, 09:18:58 AM
This is for the NY/CT/PA/& NJ folks. I went to High Point state park which is where NY/PA/NJ connect and while spending a few hours on top of High Point(highest point in NJ 1802 feet) and set up my scanner and WOW!!!!!! I had to be getting ARTCC for at least a good 180 miles all altitudes and high altitude wise I was picking up Montreal/Toronto/and weakly some INDY HIGH ARTCC over Zanesville OHIO(133.775). Other than that excuse the expression but it is a wet dream place for any ARTCC/APP/DEP fan. I was even getting some BUF/YYZ terminal traffic up there. Anyway it's a great place to visit and set up a day's worth of listening.BTW was also getting traffic overhead ENE(Kennebunk) and ACK(Nantucket) heading into JFK
