Some interesting comms from KFRG Farmingdale this AM. Beech aircraft needed to make a gear up landing, pilot OK. Listen to the archive for the last 5-7 minutes of the 0800 Eastern feed, continuing into the 0830-0900 feed.

Cool. Thanks for the heads-up. Those guys and gals in the tower are all pros--escpecially during emergencies.
Are you a local pilot? I run the feed and I'm curious as to who routinely listens. I'm based over at the Echo Ramp.

Hi Marco:
I'm not a pilot, actually I was listening to Republic on the scanner, so I heard it live. I live over in West Babylon, so I'm not far, I'm just south of the parkway. My dad used to be a commercial pilot for American, and he used to fly out of Zahn's airport, if you remember that one! That was a loong time ago!
I am a ham radio op, so I listen to all kinds of stuff. Always enjoy listening to Republic, interesting stuff. What do you do over there at the airport?
Scott
PS the feed sounds great! Great job!

I landed right before him in N31754. Was taxiing back to sheltair and saw the whole touchdown. His gear door was open when he touched down. crazy sight!
