Could you explain how does fuel mixture control works on props ?  Thanks .

it allows for less fuel to be introduced at higher altitudes where there is less air to mix with. It creates the more efficient combustion situation. Take off is done full rich (or close to it) in most situations and then once leveled off, the pilot leans the engine via exhaust gas temp, or other indications.
