Title: Feeds live?
Post by: piercel1 on November 24, 2010, 11:53:52 PM
Hi,

I apologise if this question has been posted before in the forums, but I was wondering:
Are the feeds on LiveATC.net always live?

The reason I ask is because my FBO closed nearly 6 hours ago, and a call sign that is assigned to one of the aircraft there is showing up on the frequency.  I don't know if this is usual, but...

Thanks!

What do you mean that it's "showing up on the frequency?" Are you hearing its radio calls? Even though a facility may close, frequencies for those facilities can be used by pilots and ground crew.

And yes, the feeds are as real-time as technology allows.  Meaning, there's usually a few seconds of delay mainly due to buffering.
