I heard heavy crosswinds...not windshear...
-
I was reading something that mentioned windsheer or crosswinds they weren't sure though

What a sad day in the Aviation World. :-(
-
"According to observations at the airport, wind gusts were reported to be between 30 to 50 mph around the time of the crash."
This is from the story I linked to below...witch also confirms two dead.

I'm Japanese, so I can tell new information from Japan.
I was watching the TV news from 07:00 this morning.
FedEx 80 was trying to land RWY34L of NRT, then 21m/s wind from northwest, and also was windshear.
Windshear was reported by the airplane that landed on before FedEx, and ATC told the information about windshear to FedEx.
Judging from the picture of the television, the cockpit was crashed so hard when lying on its back.
I think the plane was in flame for 60 min or so.
and some photos here.

Sorry for my bad English.

19? Where'd you get that number? I know of a couple other fatal accidents, one locally to me. People die in plane crashes every day.
