Names of the crew have been released:

The first fatal crash at Tokyo's Narita airport left a scorched, debris-strewn trail down the longer of its two landing strips, which remained closed for about 27 hours after the crash.

The American pilot and co-pilot -

Kevin Kyle Mosley, 54, and

Anthony Stephen Pino, 49 - were killed.

Airdisaster.com isn't saying much yet either...

All that is known for sure is it was an MD-11F. No word on registration number yet.
forget airdiaster.com... go to airdisaster.info/forums. we have a fedex pilot who regularly contributes to that forum.

no problem.  .info was created after the owner of .com closed down the discussion forums. We have a 737 and MD80 airline pilot, a CRJ pilot, a few ATC'rs, airbus systems experts, maint people (one who works on the fedex fleet) just to name a few.

BBC is saying two crew members on board were killed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the friends and families of those involved.
Infact they were the only occupants and fatalities of the flight. Imagine a crash like that resulting in no survivors

Yes...similar events have happened before. Check out Delta 191, an L-1011 crash at KDFW from windshear. I refferenced it earlier in this thread, but here is another link.

And Delta 191 CVR in on this page:
