Title: Farmingdale/Republic 125.2
Post by: Lynch_Christopher on June 06, 2014, 10:21:48 PM
I was looking on Airnav.com and noticed that in addition to the tower frequency 118.8 there is also another tower frequency listed as 125.2 and was curious what that is used for.

Thanks.

I've heard it used when it gets really busy at KFRG.  They would split operations between 118.8 and 125.2.  For example, one frequency might be used for aircraft approaching the airport looking to enter the pattern while the other frequency would be used for the final.  In fact, KFRG is simulcasting in 125.2 right now (they might do that all the time though when 125.2 is not being used separately).
