Rome AFB (KRME) has been closed for awhile and is now an "airpark". Plattsburg former B-52 base is all but closed already.

None around my areas.. Travis and Beale are still up and going, and as they are the only other two majors in California besides Edwards (which will never close), and Los Angeles (which isn't an AFB really to begin with!), they aren't going to be closing anytime soon. McClellan was already closed, and Mather was an army base.

Nellis is staying open, as well as Hill, Tinker, and Offutt.

North Dakota Air National Guard (119th fighter wing) shares the airport of Hector International in Fargo, ND as their base....it just eeked by the closing committee and will stay open, but it was slated for closure.  They have 16 of the last f-16A/B's left in the armed services and will have those replaced by UACV's

Grand Forks AFB may lose it's KC-135R/T's and merge with the ND ANG's UACV mission.  Still up in the air but these bases are still open (by the skin of their teeth). Minot Airforce Base in Minot North Dakota stayed off the list again too.

Very happy that my 119th is still around.
