They haven't found it yet, but it doesn't look good. (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40231873/ns/us_news-security/)
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Search and rescue teams are looking for a U.S. Air Force F-22 Raptor and its pilot that went missing during a flight over Alaska late Tuesday, military officials told NBC News.
The officials said the advanced stealth fighter jet was about 90 miles northeast of Elmendorf Air Force Base when it "dropped off the radar."

They can't see a steath fighter on radar? Isn't that the point??? :?

I'm sure they still squawk over us soil.

He probably had his transponder on. Also they aren't 100% invisible on radar.

I have worked several F-22's and a few F-117's and they do show up on ATC radar.

Hope it doesn't end up over the pond mysteriously on a youtube clip.

They've found the wreckage, looking for the pilot now. Search & rescue teams should reach the site today to see if he punched out or not. Let's hope so.

Aren't there 3 ELTs on fighters? One on the plane, the seat and the pilot. I would think that the Air Force would be utilizing the 406 frequency for SAR of all fighters. One would think it would be easy for SAR, except for terrain and the weather.
