How's the New Zealand feed sound
« on: May 04, 2005, 05:16:20 AM »
Hi all , just a quick question on how people are finding the feed, noisy or clear etc???.

It will be up when i'm not transmitting on the radio on ham bands.

Usually weekend afternoons i can become quite active on hf (dxing).

cheers from Jason in New Zealand.

I can't listen now, as I'm in school and there is no media playing software on this computer. But I must say that has got to be the shortest amount of time, in which a feed was streamed. You posted yesterday, and I assume it was up sometime last night. Especially since your in such a far time zone than that compared to most of us in the Northeastern US. Good job Jason and Dave

It sounds excellent to me here in the UK. Reminds me of my days in NZ in the 70's listening to the traffic on the Pacific..about one an hour in those days!! The interesting ones were the flights going to McMurdo in Antartica, and the Pole itself as part of operation Deep freeze..do they still fly that route?
Best regards
Steve

Sounds pretty good tome, but what exactly is an HF frequency, like what is it used for?

Oceonic procedures, as well as where VHF is unusable.
