Downloading ATC clips to MP3 player

I just bought my new toy, a Creative Micro Photo 8GB MP3 player. I'm loving every second of it since I bought it the other day. I downloaded a few archive MP3 audio clips from here to the new player.

But, there's problems. Every one of my ATC clips play at a very slow rate basically in 'slow motion'. On my computer the files play normally and other audio files on it play fine. There's not to many settings I can mess with on the player itself so I'm curious if anyone else ran into this problem or is just that it doesn't support the lower bit rate if that is the problem?

The archives are normal MP3 files recorded at the same rate they are streamed at (16kbps/11kHz sampling).

I can't imagine why your player would not just play them.  Every player that I've transferred them to seems to work fine.
