Downloading Archives ?
« on: June 04, 2011, 01:51:33 PM »
When downloading archive streams, I navigate to the ATC feed, date and time and right click on the file and save it as mp3 to my desktop. When I open that file up to listen, it only plays the first 1min and 11sec, then just stops. I should be able to listen to the full 30 min, correct ?
Hopefully, I missed a step somewhere. Thanks Lee

Hi Lee -

Correct, you should have the full 30 minutes. I'm not seeing anything wrong with the archives either - I tried one from JFK and it downloaded and played fine.
Check the size of the one on your desktop - It should be around 7.2mb. If it's not, there's a problem with downloading it. It does sound like your download is failing somewhere and leaving you with an incomplete file.

Thanks for the replies. I guess it just takes a little while to get the full 30 min archive up. I checked it 2 days later and the full 30 min was available. Yesterday I tried to download the KTYS feed from 1800-1830z and it only has 32 sec available. I'll keep checking it. Thanks, Lee

Correct, I tried it too, the 1800 1930 feed gives 32 seconds of recording, the 1830 1900 gives the full 30 minutes with a 3.7 Mb file, must be some feeder problem...
