They probably got it via CPDLC, but you might listen through the following couple of Boston ARINC archives to catch him before he went over to HF. Problem is there is a lot of other ramp traffic in that feed.

You could also try the JFK ARINC feed in those same two slots, but the route of flight probably took him out of range by the time he checked in with ARINC, the limit on that receiver being about 280-300 miles. You may, however, hear the ground side since ARINC multi-casts from both locations.

Unfortunately the HF feeds are not archived, so you have to listen to them in real time and record.

Thank you very much!!! It is a shame that HF feeds cant be heard later, I heard that a good frequency to hear is 6649 or 17955 from ATLANTICO SBAO Brazil!! They say that in those frequencies you can hear all the reporting points of the flights between europe and South America!!

I don't think it's a "shame", rather a pitty, but that's up to you. All feeds are vollunteers, so not everything is covered....

Actually, I don't know whether this has always been this way or Dave just reorganized things, but you CAN access HF archives if, instead of browsing the "misc" to "HF", you simply enter "HF" into the "Airport/ARTCC Code" box... you will then get the standard listing of all the HF feeds with access to archives.

Do you mean the actual "oceanic clearance" or just hearing the flight while it was in oceanic airspace ?

http://flightaware.com/live/flight/DLH411/history/20130323/2240Z/KJFK/EDDM

On this routing via DOVEY the flight would have received their oceanic clearance on the ground in JFK (via datalink).

If you listen to the JFK ARINC archive that InterpreDemon posted above (JFK-ARINC-Mar-24-2013-2330Z) at 21:40 you can't hear the aircraft (out of range) but you can hear the ARINC operater reading back DLH411's altitude (FL360), confirms CPDLC, time at DOVEY (2355Z), and their selcal code (KM-GR), their next position 46N60W, then gives them their HF assignment for the crossing (New York primary 5520 secondary 6577, then crossing 44'30N to Gander primary 5616 secondary 8891).

As far as I know there is no LiveATC feed that covers 5520, but there is one that covers 5616.

http://archive-server.liveatc.net/hf/HF-Atlantic-NAT-B-Mar-24-2013-0130Z.mp3

If you listen to the above archive at 8:00 you can hear DLH411 check on with Gander on 5616, confirming CPDLC, confirming track "W", getting a selcal check, advised secondary Gander frequency now 3476, then told to contact Shanwick crossing 30W on primary 3016 secondary 2872.

As far as I know there is no LiveATC feed that covers 3016.

I've always been able to access HF archives directly from the archive link as well.

Nico 747, if you're looking for the actual flight plan that was filed for this flight, it was this:

HAPIE3 HAPIE YAHOO DOVEY NATW ATSUR ARKIL KONAN UL607 AMASI UM149 BOMBI T104 ANORA ANORA1A

I'm not sure though if this is what you meant by "oceanic clearance"

Ron
