Hello there,

This morning I was a passenger on DL3165 going from CMH to ATL.  After about 15 minutes of being in the air we heard a bang and eventually our pilots told us one of the engines failed and that we had to diverted to CVG. It was quite the experience and I am interested to see if there are any recordings of the ATC communication. I originally posted this to Reddit and they suggested I reach out here.

I am not sure if this is the correct place to ask this or not. I am more than happy to provide any additional information about the flight if that would help.

Thanks!

Sorry to say, not much to be found with this flight.  You can hear DAL3165 departing KCMH but the engine failure didn't happen until the pilots were talking to Indianaoplis Center.  Unfortunately, LiveATC doesn't have coverage for the frequency they were on so no audio is available at the time the incident happened.  The only audio available after the incident is when they contacted KCVG Tower as you were about to land.  But it's partial audio as you can only hear the tower controller and not the pilots for some reason.  Sorry, wish there was more.
