Post by: bogman on December 22, 2009, 06:29:57 PM
Hi folks,I read that Boeing were going to try and fly the Dreamliner 787 today 22 Dec.
Did this happen or was there another delay?

Thanking you in advance and Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to all.

Yes, in fact 2 787s have now had their first flights:

ZA001 painted in Boeing Dreamliner livery flew on 12-15-2009

ZA002 painted in launch customer ANA livery flew on 12-22-2009

Both flights departed from Everett Paine Field (KPAE) and landed at Boeing King Co Intl (KBFI)

More info can be found on Boeing.com and Newairplane.com
There are links from either of these sites that will take you to the official first flight info and videos.
