KC-10 from McGuire AFB doing pattern work at KALB had bird strikes 1,800 Ft. Did not declare the E-word. Had to land at KALB RWY-10. Right now they are trying to figure if plane flyable back to McGuire. Too big a plane for ramps, so had to park Approach end of RWY 10. 10/28 closed.
Only equipment suitable ( big enough ) to exam plane is a deicer unit with lights.
Apparently hit large flock of geese.
Hope news has photos. 2ND largest plane to land at KALB.
