flyman6101, I have a feed for KBDR right now. I travel to my dads house in Danbury every other week as well as fly there very very often.  I will try talking with Dave and get a feed going when we get a new computer.

Do you fly out of there?  My grandfather also bases his Beech Bonanza their and I have some dual time out of there.  I literally live 5 min. from there at my dads house and get great reception.

My dad also got his license there 24 years ago

Nice.

I'll be flying out of there this Sunday.  I take lessons there sometimes and my grandfather has the Bonanza there like I said.  DXR and HPN are really my home away from homes because my dad was based out of and still is out of HPN for 15+ years.  The Bonanza has been at DXR for as long as I remember so I flew there and still do a lot.

I have the Brdigeport feed as I said earlier and that provides the DXR 19 sector of ZBW.  I get 128.1, 134.0, and 125.575 from here and in Danbury.  I also get 128.6 NY appr./clearance after hours in DXR, but 126.8 and 133.1 down here.

Once I get a more solid comp. there I might be able to run a feed but only every other week as my dad works every other week.

Just went flying out of DXR yesterday.  Worked all the comms with ground and tower  :D

Come listen in.  I fly there occasionally.

Crazy lesson in a C152 with broken flaps:

- Flat Approaches
- Door open on takeoff
- Airspeed and Altimeter fail on takeoff b/c of water in the pitot static system
- Busy towards the end
- Touch and goes
- Stalls
- Steep Turns
- Simulated Engine fail on last landing....

Seemed to be an educational lesson

I know we're getting off-topic, but I was wondering whether your pick would be DXR or BDR for a passenger drop-off/pick-up? Their place is the same distance from both.

Is the terrain at DXR tricky? I've never been there.

I don't quite know what your asking -

Terain at DXR is very tricky. Taking off

35- Danbury Mall underneath you
17- Valley below you
26- Is alright
8 - Big mountain in front of you

Landing:

35 - Valley below you and tower cannot see you until on a 3 mile base/final
17 - Mall underneath you
26 - Big mountain underneath making a steep approach
8 - Mountain in front of you at the appr. end of 26 if you need to go around.

Please don't give up.  Like you, the site owner has a real job that is quite busy.  He will get back to you.  In the meantime, do you have all the equipment and how is your reception?

Back in the late 80s I was taking flight lessons out of Waterbury/Oxford (long before they were towered) and used to take a C152 over to Danbury for tower communication practice.  I have many fond memories of flying in between the hills there and would enjoy listening to a feed from that airport.

Could you send us another e-mail via the contact form on the main site?  I searched our ticket system for your e-mail address but no such ticket exists.  I'd be glad to discuss this with you further via e-mail.

Thanks!
