Title: CYWG ATIS reception issue

I'm having this strange issue picking up the ATIS at my local airport. I can pick up the tower from my house fine but I can't the ATIS freqnecy is full of static. Even when I'm at the airport the ATIS frequency isn't very clear. Anyone know why? I'm using a Uniden Bearcat BC72XLT.

The ATIS transmitter may be off field at another location.  You need to find out where that is.  Perhaps someone around the airport has an idea.
