Cut, Copy and Paste?
« on: August 10, 2010, 03:17:49 PM »
Would any one tell me how to edit an archive. I have downloaded the feed and only need about a minute or 2. I am trying to email it to a student.( No else would have found it interesting.)
Remember that I am a pilot, so no big words or technical jargon.

Thanks!

Ray

http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Install that.  It's a piece of cake to use.

(There was only one two-syllable word there.  ;)  )

I agree with Biff...

Audacity is the best program I've found. All you need to do is open two Audacity windows, import the audio file into one window, cut out what you want and place it in the other window, then save it, and export as MP3. Simple as that!

Add me to the Audacity fan list. I've used it for years to edit organ recital recordings, and it's perfect for ATC editing, too.
