CYAV Crash recording taken down?
« on: September 07, 2017, 01:27:46 PM »
There was a crash near St Andrews (CYAV) airport this morning but the recorded feed is unavailable. Trying to find the CYAV feed for today, September 7th, at 09:00Z but it is the only one that is unavailable.

thanks

That feed has intermittent connectivity - 0900Z is not the only missing archive. I will check to see if we have a backup from another site.

We had the 0900Z recording from the secondary recording site (it hadn't back-filled the primary site yet) - but there is nothing on it. Maybe there were no radio transmissions or they were on frequencies we don't cover at CYAV.

When I listen to CYAV for overhead traffic on the center feed I never hear transmissions. I hear the handoffs to that center frequency on ZMP center.
