Title: Crash of USAIR427

I realize this is slightly off topic reference listening to ATC.

Does anyone know the lat/long of the USAIR427 crash site? I live within a mile or so, but have only been here for five years. I did, however, previously do some work in that specific area and I am curious to know how close the two locations might be. I can determine the coordinates on a map, down to degrees and minutes. In order to be useful, the information would have to be refined to degrees/minutes/seconds.

If you have the information but don't feel it's wise to post it publicly, a PM would be appreciated.

hi, i dont know the exact spot but, i know that it was on a very short final for runway 28R. (the plane flew directly over my house).

I read that transcript some time ago. Very chilling. Once was more than enough.   :(

I'm familiar with the terrain in that particular area, but wasn't sure *exactly* where the site was. If it was indeed " in a wooden ravine", that narrows it down somewhat.

I'd still be interested to know the precise lat/long if anyone can provide it.

According to NTSB records found here

location of crash is N40 36 14.14 W80 18 36.95

Back in 80 or 81 I did some work for one of the owners of that land, but I can now tell it was some distance away.
