CLT Arrivals
« on: May 18, 2022, 04:37:40 PM »
I've noticed that while all the CLT APP/DEP frequencies are listed as currently having a feed, the only audio able to be heard is departures from KCLT and satellite airport arrivals, wondering if there was any way we could start feed hearing more arrivals descending into KCLT via the arrival procedures / receiving final vectors.

Some hopefully useful information:

There are seven STAR approach routes around Charlotte.  FILPZ and PARQR are to the northwest and are on 125.35.  BANKR and JONZE are to the southwest and are officially on 126.15, however much of the time the pilots will call on 125.35.  The approaches from the east, CHSLY, MLLET, and STOCR, are on 135.6.

125.35    FLIPZ and PARQR (northwest)
126.15    CHSLY, MLLET, and STOCR (east)
135.60    BANKR and JONZE (southwest)

Sometimes the pilots will stay on these frequencies until they are on final approach and are told to contact the tower.  During peak times they may instead be passed off to 132.7, 119.3, 127.7, or 119.4 once they are on downwind.    Flights to the west are usually passed to 132.7.

Source:  Published charts (https://www.airnav.com/airport/kclt) and experience listening to these frequencies.

We now have a feed up for the arrivals on 125.35 and 132.7

This will mostly be arrivals from the northwest and sometimes the southwest.
