would anyone here be interested in a Cleveland CNTR feed? i will try to get one up but, i dont know how well it will receive. if anything it will be mainly controller. send me some freqs that you guys have and I will try them out.

I'd be interested in a Cleveland Center feed ! Primarily the high altitude sectors. What's your reception like on 135.175, 132.125, 121.075, 125.425 ? These are the 4 high sectors overhead and to the south of the Pittsburgh area.

Can you hear the controllers on any of those frequencies ?
Is your reception better in certain directions ? Like are there any hills or buildings in the way that could be blocking reception ?
What about to the north on 133.075 and 119.725 ? And to the northwest on 133.375 and 119.875 ? Any controllers on any of these frequencies ?

My only suggestion would be that if you are going to set up a Cleveland feed please don't try and scan too many busy frequencies at the same time. The radios here that are scanning 10 to 20 busy frequencies at once are totally useless as you end up missing so many transmissions that you can't follow what is going on. You might as well just be listening to random gibberish. Some of those Cleveland sectors can get pretty busy, I'd probably scan maybe 4 frequencies at the most if I was setting it up. Just my opinion.

i would love to hear 132.925 and 134.125 along J-584 and J-70 inbound's to EWR and JFK before they are handed off to NY ARTCC and maybe if Pit can get 134.775 and 120.075. Good Luck PIT and hope to be hearing the feed soon. Oh one more thing as well as the forementioned 119,875/133.375 sector they have on top of them 120.325(ULTRAHIGH ALT)

o good. well, for now the feeds are being hosted by 3 different notebooks. i am trying to either buy a old PC off my school or go out and buy 2 sound cards and put them in my PC downstairs. i am also thinking about buying another Radioshack PRO-2052 and using that for the CLE CNTR feed. The Radioshack PRO-89 is the scanner i planned on using for the CLE feed, but it doesnt recieve well. even with external antenna, it still doesnt recieve well. thats why i am considering buying the other scanner.

im debating between these two. i allready have the 2052 but they seem the same. if i buy the 2052 i think i can do text tags . i dont know about the 2054

The Pro-2052 should be able to do text tags.

I see you have good controller reception on 121.075 and 133.075 (Moon Township PAL), but your reception of aircraft is very poor. You can hear aircraft to the south but your reception range to the north and northwest is non existent. If you have 133.375 and 119.725 selected you are not picking up any traffic on these two frequencies. You also have 133.175 listed, but I don't show this as any active Cleveland frequency ?

133.17 is the LRP26 sector for ZNY. It's low altitude for soutbound Potomac Arrivals

Is that a recent change ? I show ZNY LRP26 as frequency as 133.675. Anyway it would be totally out of range of a PIT radio.

yeah, idk what that is but, what i did was i put every CLE Cntr freq in and just wrote down the freqs that i heard aircraft/controller on and idk where that freq came from but i saw it so i wrote it down. sry ill look into it
and MOON Twp is Pittsburgh its just the a suburb that PIT Intl is in, i guess i should of put moon but i just always known it as pittsburgh so. sry

DJ, they have been using 33.17 for the past year or so. They we're having problems with reception/ bleed on 33.67. Once in a while they will have 33.67 up, but I think it's cause they are testing it with no luck.

The CLE CNTR and PIT feed now have Radioshack PRO-2052 scanners on them. I went and got another one. last one in stock to. i hope it helps clear things up.

The reception does sound better, but your range is still very poor to the north. Are there hills or buildings in the way ? DJ

i live in pittsburgh, what mtn/hill is not in the way???
i can barly pick up the tower even when its only like a mile away, with the new scanner its much better, i am also thinkin about buying a new antenna

been listening to the new feed and thouroughly enjoy it alot. Begging and pleading for maybe 134.125/132.925 sector and maybe PLEASE if you can throw on 134.775/120.075 and/or 120.325 PLEASE and see what happens.

It wouldn't work, his reception range to the north is barely 50 miles, those sectors are well out of range.

It's all gonna be in that southeast quadrant, 134.47, 124.40, 125.42, 134.12 and then on the ZNY side 132.2, 133.47.

thanx, also do you think if i got a better or idk bigger antenna, the reception to the northh would be better? i thhink thhat the problems is that i live in the Ohio river valley, (VALLEY) i am in the middle of the valley and the north would be the upper part of the valley. i will have to take some pics to show you guys. their is a beautiful view of the city to. once i get my digital camera back from my cousin i will take some pics of the new setup and the terrain around my house. also, i am using the one antenna for all three feeds. i use a four-way coax splitter to split thhe cable to easch scanner, would that haveto do with anything?

Below is a screen shot showing all the high altitude (FL240 and above) sectors in range of PIT (select image to enlarge). I added the frequencies myself, so if anyone notes any errors or changes please let me know, but they should be accurate.
(L) = FL240 to FL330/FL340 (varies)
(H) = FL330/FL340 and above or to FL350/FL360 (varies)
(U) = FL350/FL360 and above (varies)
* = sector opened when required
Right now the range on the PIT radio to the north is about 50nm to 75nm, and to the south about 100nm to 125nm. DJ

The charts you posted above you wouldn't happen to be able to post the frequencies that go with the sectors for Chicago and Atlanta Centers respectively. I had to add the frequencies to those other screen shots myself. I don't have any with the frequencies added for Chicago or Atlanta. From my notes this is what I have for Chicago, these are confirmed by listening and are current to a few months ago. I haven't had a good listen to this area since RVSM, so the altitude ranges are incomplete. Any updates or corrections always appreciated.

I don't have access to any radios in range of Atlanta so I can't confirm any of their frequencies. This website is the best reference I've seen, but I can't confirm how current it is.
