Title: Check out our LiveATC bookstore!
Post by: dave on August 28, 2008, 05:36:36 PM
A new site feature - an aviation bookstore - has been added.   The store is powered by Amazon.com and any commissions from the book store benefit LiveATC.net and help to further network growth and new feeds.

If you know of any books that you think would be good to feature there please let me know.  It is a work in progress.

Click here to check out the LiveATC bookstore (http://www.liveatc.net/avstore.php)

Thanks,
Dave

Lookin' good.

How about the FAR/AIM 2009?  I am seeing it pop up on the left as an Amazon recommendation, but not in the bookstore itself.

Is it just for books to do with the flight of aircraft? or is it also books to do with the maintenance side of aircraft?

a couple of my faves I use when putting together a Safety Seminar.  I am not sure if they are still in print.

Fatal Words by Stephen Cushing

and I see this one listed...
Avoiding Common Pilot Errors (An Air Traffic Controller's View) by John Stewart

to address Order JO 7110.65S (current version)
the .65 is a "living document"  it is not a standard "book" it is an ORDER, a document of procedures.  It is changed every 2 years with 3 scheduled  revisions within that time frame.  The revisions include GENOT and NOTICE changes that change the basic order "immediately".

I don't think you'd want to maintain a subscription to always have a current order on hand.   Just view the 464 pages on line ....
