Center Charts
« on: April 19, 2006, 06:53:47 PM »
Does anyone have or know where I can find a sector chart, that would give me a hint on the ground what particular center frequency to program in to hear air traffic.  More specifically I am looking for NY Center and Washington Center charts.  I would just like to know when travelling by car what frequency to program in for a certain area to hear air traffic.  Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the information, I am in Central Pennsylvania, but frequently travel down Interstate 81 into Northern Virginia (Winchester, VA area).  Thanks again.

You can get some stuff off of Virtual ZDC's site (Vatsim related). Most of the info is from a ZDC controller. But of course as time goes on, freqs and sectors change. Actually ZDC has alot of transmiter interference problems. So they change freqs often.

http://www.dcartcc.org/downloads.php

Download the "Standard Operating Procedures - Center" under ZDC Documents. On page 7 to 8 you'll find freqs along with Sector names. Starting on page 11, you'll find all the Area specific maps. By page 36 each sector is shown broken down.
