CAR A/CAR B Feed
« on: July 25, 2005, 08:18:03 PM »
For your listening pleasure...I would like to know how the feed is doing, what improvements it might need, etc. I'll monitor the feed when I can, and I'll keep it up as long as weather permits, i.e. no thunderstorms or the threat of them.
Daytime will be 11.330...evenings will altername 8.918, 6.577, 6.586, whatever is busiest, and 5.550 late evenings. If I can, I'll leave it up on 3.455 overnight.

Cheers one and all!

Kieran

It is getting busier with the new ocean21 system in place...you will notice alot more time restictions on all clearances plus this is the busy season for the car sector...the car is mor interesting to work and to listen to due to the fact flights are all on airways with fixes and checkpoints as the north atlantic is just coordinates lat/long...enjoy

I have the AirNav Suite 4 program, and the waypoints sometimes drive me nuts. The database explorer on the program only opens once...I always miss on BERGH and BERTT...but I guess practice makes perfect, and playing around with Suite 4 is fun.

Do you guys use the VOLMET stations to determine frequency usage?

freq management and selection is all dependant on time of day, solar activity, and personal preference...from listening you can tell there are optimun freq's and poor freq's.. it is the up to us as we go when to switch... the one i posted are for the most part almost routine...

Hi...the computer running the CAR feed had a hard drive crash...I'm trying to get to the bottom of that. I hope to have it back up later today.
